Hi,
I have been having a look at GM's Drill Deep and Wide, and it looks as though I might get some inspiration from it. However, the papers are filled with all sorts of abbreviations. Can someone help me get my head around what they mean (I am not from the automotive industry, so bear with my ignorance :o )
N/C = ?
CPV = ?
CS status = ?
DUNS = ?
PCP = ?
STW = ?
Repeat Els (or EIs ?) = ?
MD
PRR
PTR
t + T + E + = S
It's all just Greek to me :confused:

I can help with a few:
N/C = Nonconformance
CS status = Controlled Shipping status (http://elsmar.com/Forums/showthread.php?p=113105#poststop)
DUNS = Have a look here (http://smallbusiness.dnb.com/manage-business-credit/get-duns-details.asp?bhcd2=1174633663).
PCP = Process Control Plan?
PRR = Problem Reporting and Resolution; GM's corrective action system for suppliers

Hi Howard,
Thanks a lot. This is one of the reasons that I joined the Cove. Sharig knowledge and helping - it is a two way streak :)
I found the abbreviations in a presentation:
http://elsmar.com/Forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=2385&d=1089799349
After reading the 47 pages I thought that some of it might make sense to me.... Seeing as RCA is not our strong side :uhoh:
