Can anyone advise me where can I get information (such as steps, guidelines, etc) on for Electronics Equipments.

Hello there!

Sorry I did not respond to your post earlier.

I am a bit unclear as to what you are looking for. Is this a Six Sigma project you are wanting to initiate?

Your title states design for serviceability. Are you wanting to measure some type of value for serviceability?

What kind of electronic equipment are you interested in, and what type of manuals are you looking for?

At your convenience, if you could provide a little more information regarding what information you are a looking for, it would help out immensely. Also, if you feel at liberty to do so, maybe a little background on your project.

you could be indeed more explicit...

you can start by defining a number of criteria:
- cost of servicing
- ability to provide service on location
- time of servicing (related to cost)
- component or module replacement...
... there are lots of possibilities

you will then derive criteria to specify as
- maximum number of screws
- mounting mechanisms
- number of boards (architectural constraints)
- cabling
- connectors
- diagnostic software (user or service version)
- measuring equipment
- service procedures
- in circuit testing
- boundary scan
.... and again hundreds of others

You can of course apply Six Sigma to the critical factors... up to you to determine what is exactly relevant in your context.

Hope this helps. I just mentioned a few examples to give an idea of the complexity of this subject.
