Hello guys,

Please help to collect some ideas.
I would like to use you for a kind of brainstorming session :D

The task:
In my company, which designs and manufactures automotive microelectronics, we have to define a new global process called "Risk management/FMEA"
This process have to be linked also to "Change management" process.

My question is:
What type of activities have to be considered here?
Lets assume for example that the inputs of this process are (just an example):

- Business Plan
- Forecast
- Customer orders
- Products
- ...

The outputs:

- Cash
- Operating margin
- ...

What do you suggest?
I expect many suggestions

Thanks

OK, nobody respond.

Lets put the question like this:
What are the risks in such company (with manufacturing and R&D)?
Lets start with the external customers then we consider the internal.

For external:
- insufficient quality
- unstable deliveries
- increased price

For internal:
- human resources shortage
- equipment down
- unreliable supplier deliveries
- poor management
- ...

Just to add that this process ("Risk management/FMEA") is sub-process of "Continuous improvement" process - one of the main processes in the company.

In my company we implemented ISO 14971 Application of Risk Management specific to Medical Devices. It focuses on risk associated with our products.

Even though it is specific to medical devices it still may assist you in applying a risk management system.
