Dear all,

Good day! my boss had a meeting with a Korean Guy about ISO implementation. After they meet, my boss comes up with a 3 page questions about ISO implementation. Some of the facts I can relate accordingly but one thing bothers me and i believe I have no idea about it. WHAT ARE ISO CERTIFICATION CODE , he had given examples as Construction 28, engineering & other services 35, actually this is a big question mark to me and my boss is asking me about this.
Any lights on this? your response would be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for a quick reply Sidney,

I am a newbee in quality so please bear with me ok, I am just wondering how does this relates to ISO implementation. Actually this rumbles me up.:(
whew, I believe this is now getting tougher and tougher coz there's another big question mark. We are a multi business company which we want to get certified the services of Construction (Electrical & Instrumentation), Trading and Human Resource and hire services.
Can someone kindly give elaboration about this ISO Certf Code and how to relate to ISO 9001 implementation?
Again thanks in advance. God bless you all....

To my knowledge, these codes are only applicable between the CBs and ABs. CBs are only allowed to certify companies within the scopes that they are accreditated to. Meaning if they are not accreditated for industry 28 (construction) then, they are not qualified to certify a company whose business falls within the scope of 28(construction).

(I noticed that your company does electrical and instrumentation. Please check with your potential CB if this falls under construction. It may come under engineering and other services but that should not affect you in any way)
