Hey, I am in the midst of compiling activities for a team building program. Most of the games have been played year after year, and people started to get bored. I wish to get some new ideas from the forum, if there's any games (outdoor or indoor) for team building...

Let me share my experience...

Moving the container game
Purpose : To challenge communication, and decision making.
Procedure : Group divided into 4-5 members, and given some props - i.e. ropes (about 4-5 ft long) each member, some sticks, an elastic band, some newspaper, etc etc.
One container containing some marbles is placed in the middle of a circle (made by rope, diameter, around 3 ft).
the purpose of the game is to 'move' the container to another location, without using hand to touch it.

Tips : Members have to use the elastic band, make it into a circle, and tie the one end of the ropes to it. Members will pull the elastic band to 'expand' it, and put the band over the container. Now, the expanded elastic band will hold the body of the container, and members can manouver the container with the ropes given to any location identified by the facilitator.

Any more new ideas and how to play them is much appreciated.. thanks

Hello YKT,

You may want to conduct an internet search on the book: "Games Trainers Play." I have used it for many years and it contains many good exercises.
There are more books available in this series. Experiential learning can be very rewarding for the participants.

I hope this helps.
