I'm investigating the available training scenarios, on site vs off site for AS9100 Internal Auditor Training. The location for on site would be Long Island NY and the time frame is sometime in early August. Does anyone know of any availability for either. I want to look at all possible options.

Hey Al we have one and I've gone all the way up to Montreal and delivered an AS9100 Internal Auditing course. (They made me eat a snail!:yuk:)

I think Sid's folks have an Internal AS9100 course as well.

If you don't want one of the major player's (or a minor one like Sid:lol:) you might contact Ann Morgan (QualityPhD).

I also want something comprehensive that focuses on processes. We are presently ISO 9001 registered and need to achieve AS9100 by next July for the appropriate parts of our business (approx 20% and growing). I came in here last August and have been working on improving a number of areas including internal audits.

Al,

If you are looking for AS9100 Internal Auditor training, you might want to check out our company. I am a certified aerospace lead auditor and have trained hundreds of auditors, both internal auditors and lead auditors for registrars. What I would suggest looking for in a good internal auditor training course is one that focuses on process auditing, not clause base auditing. Many, if not most, claim to do this but in reality I have found very few that do this effectively.

Our course is built around case studies so that the auditor actually learns to follow audit trails and think beyond the clauses of the standard. We have presented this course to commercial as well as military units and have had great success.

The question you have to ask yourself is whether you have enough people to warrant an on-site course.

Hope this helps. Contact me if I can be of any service to you.

There you go Al, 3 choices right off the bat. A major player;), a minor one :notme:, and the new guy (who has an interesting website).

Oh yeah.......
