View Full Version : Ford's FMEA Book Marc 21st May 2001, 08:20 AM If anyone has access to the Ford site *** DEAD LINK REOVED *** I sure would like a copy of any FMEA documentation there... Al Dyer 21st May 2001, 03:05 PM Marc, Try: http://www.sae.org/servlets/search They charge for the handbook but do have a free demo of the Ford FMEAPlus (V4.1) software. (My initial search on the sae page was for J1739) ASD... Paul Alexander 29th May 2001, 04:25 AM If you sen me an email, I can let you have a copy of FMEA+ v4.1. The zip file is very small. I also have a copy of the user manual which I could fax to you if required. However, for your information, Ford no longer support this software and are, at present, Beta testing the new software. It is being updated to be Windows friendly (don't laugh) with left-click functions etc. It will aslo allow better exporting into Excel etc. and will still read documents created in FMEA+. ------------------ Paul R Alexander Program Quality Engineer (Ford Division) Lear Corporation GmbH & Co KG lear.com Tel : +49 221 9 57 51-378 Mob: +49 174 396 2780 Fax : +49 221 9 57 51-979 Marc 29th May 2001, 07:06 AM Thanks for the offer, but I'm really looking for the FMEA 'manual' or whatever they're calling it now. My interest is really more in how they're telling people to 'do' FMEAs rather that the program. No big deal folks - just looking for more information. Thanks for the replies! I see the SAE is selling it so I'll probably buy it - it appears they have a downloadable copy. Paul Alexander 12th June 2001, 04:46 AM Marc, I can send you an Excel file from a Ford FMEA refresher day I attended in the UK. It talks about defining functions using function trees, process mapping, P Diagrams and then Design and Process FMEA's. I also have a copy of the Ford FTEP manual if thats any help. The SAE book on FMEA is not very good. Email me if you want this. |
