Is QA part of the approval process of drawings in you company? (mechanical or electronical drawings)
In my provous position, we had an approval process of Development team, Production (engineering). This approval process let to control the document, revision and information like tolerance and others.

I've never seen that QA approved drawings when it came to mechanics or electronics. It is probably because that a lot of QA persons does not know the first thing about these things :notme: I am not sure that I see the reason for QA to approve them either, in my view that is a specialist job for the respective departments.

Thanks for your sincerely. When you sign the document you don't approved the mechanical draw only, you approve the process. Who is responsible for the review and document control of these documents in your company?

This would usually reside with R&D or Process Development. QA may have input, but they don't have approval right.
