Hi All,

Can anyone provide me with a copy of a control plan that has been written for assembly process? I am fimiliar with writing one for a product as this is relatively straight forward but i am drawing a blank on how to write one for assembly. The process flow is as follows:
Goods Inwards
Stores
Componentary wash
Inspection
Identification
Assembly
Piston & Pin sub assembly
Front cover sub assembly
Test
Pack
Despatch

Its simple - if you have the template for Control Plan, just pu these activities in that template and you will be surprised how you could make a wonderful Control Plan !!!

What do you put in the product (part) 0r process column? example below is part of the wash process reading left to right on the control plan. Is this correct?

Wash: Cylinder Blocks
Manual Operator Control + dedicated wash in plastic tray
Wash Cycle?
Wash to70-85 Degrees
Free of contamination
Visual Inspection
100%
Continuous
Process Instruction Manual
Re-Wash if required
