Dear Experts,
Good morning.
I have a data set contain the time taken till inpatient assessed, the data for one month; the following table represents the number of assessment done by days , and we have the time for each assessment.
My question is, if I want to monitor the assessment time by using control chart, can I use the individual chart? I am a bit confused because of the sample size. Each day we have different number of assessment.
Many thanks.

Hello there! Thank you for posting data! It always helps.

What exactly are you trying to control? Are you trying to minimize the time it takes to see each patient? Or do you have an average you are trying to attain, where you don't want to spend too little or too much time? Or maybe you're looking for upper limits, where you do not want to exceed a certain time to assess a patient? I don't see any times listed in your data.

I see you provided the dates and number of patients you see. But am I to gather you are really not interested in controlling by # of patients, as it will differ each time?

This is the weekend here. Hopefully tomorrow, some of the real pros can come along and offer you the needed assistance.
