Dear all,

I am actually working on uncertainty of a measuring instrument and I try to understand how is the degree of freedom (v) is calculated on the d2* table in the appendix C of the MSA third edition. I have found the relation between d2 and d2* but I miss the calculation of v. The v is a decimal number but for all laws I know with degree of freedom, v must be whole number. Perhaps can someone help me.

Thanks for you answers
