View Full Version : What kappa value to use for Gage R+R (Gage R&R) study with > 10 parts?

MSA Third edition page 114 contains a sample Gage R+R report with K values listed, with K3 values (for differing #'s of parts) up to ten parts. My question is, what values should be used for sample sizes greater than ten parts (28 in my case)? The K values converge, seemingly to around .3 or just below, but does anyone know the actual lower limit of these values? Or does anyone have the formulas that are used to calculate these values (hopeful, but i assume they are in an AIAG file drawer somewhere).

Thanks

Jessy

Bumping this thread. Any Kappa experts willing to respond?
