This looks like a great site, I've read several of the comments and agree with most of the answers.
Over the past 10 years or so I've developed an excel spread sheet (for ISO-9001)that provides not only (A Master List of Documents)but also the following and I will share it with anyone without cost.
1. a master list of documents, 2. an audit schedule, 3. Where the document is owned and resides,4. how long the document stays active, 5. how long befor it is archived, 6. is the document a quality record, 7, which element of the standard it belongs to, 8. names the auditor, 9. is it an electronic record or a hard copy, 10. the revision level and revison date, 11 this may also be hyperlinked to your procedures and work instruction.
