I'm looking to purchase a projector for powerpoint presentations to be used in the conference room and break room. Will be used for customer presentations and employee training. Any make and model of projector that you would recommend, not recommend? Thank you in advance.

I've been using a View Sonic for 7 years. It's lightweight and compact for travel, has 1300 lumins that can be reduced to 800 to save the bulb, contains a whisper mode for reducing fan noise, has a nice little amp for sound quality and hooks up to everything including my DVR.

I also like the View Sonic. I use it a lot in my classes and for customer presentations. I find it easy to use and adaptable to most rooms. The best part is the bulb doesn't cost an arm and a leg (just an arm :lmao: )

We just got a Panasonic for our conference room.
bright enough that we can see the picture without dimming the lights like we had to with the old one.
Lamp supposedly has 1000 hour life.

don't have a model number handy because the conference room is in use right now.

Hello Lundberg,

See this thread: http://elsmar.com/Forums/showthread.php?t=22476

This discusses portable projectors, but many of those are used in-house as well.

If I remember right, that's about 1/2 what I paid. Are you sure you got a bulb with it? :agree1:

I guess I'm too late. I had a suggestion, but it probably wouldn't meet your portability requirements:

I'll try to remember to report back on how this model works out for me.

I purchased from newegg.com

Bringing it in 2nd day air so I'll have it for Thursday's QA/company meeting.
