Does anyone know of ISO DP 7631/1? What does it involve? We have a Bosch drawing in Review Phase that states the following:
"The Manufacturer confirms that the components withstand the stress according to the standard ISO DP 7631/1 without damage".
We have to respond to the customer drawing quickly and don't really have time to order and review this document. I need to know if anyone can provide any information. Thanks in advance.

Never heard of it but it is available as to purchase in an electronic format meaning you don't need to wait on delivery and will therefore have time to review the standard.

I agree with Jim.
Also, if they designed the part (you said this is their print), they should have taken that standard into consideration. Tell them that you're not familiar with the requirements and ask them to provide details so you can do an adequate review.

Thanks for the responses. We have asked the customer for the information. I should have thought of that first. :bonk:

Just for information: DP stands for 'Draft Protocol'. However 7631 is now a full scale standard since long. You are already arranging to get the details.
Best of Luck.
