View Full Version : ISO 13485 Crossword Handout
bio_subbu 29th September 2007, 07:30 AM Hi Cove Viewers,
I am going to attend an Internal Auditor training program on Wednesday (next week), but I got a study material from auditor. With in the study material I found one ISO 13485 crossword handout. I am herewith attached the same, can any one help me.
Regards,
Subbu
Jim Wynne 29th September 2007, 11:14 AM I have everything except 2 across and 12 across. Any ideas? I suspect that 12 across is "environment" misspelled, probably without the first "n." If that's the case, whomever designed the puzzle should be imprisoned.
Edit: added the word "first" for clarity.

Subbu,
Your attempt is a good one; however in this crossword, I see lot of grey shaded areas with very less input required.

The idea is to fill in the white spaces with words that connect/overlap; see the attachment for an example of a completed crossword puzzle.

I have 2 across now, and I'm pretty sure that my speculation regarding "environment" is correct. Should I post the solution, or let the OP figure it out for himself?

Edit: added the word "first" for clarity.I haven't tried the puzzle, but do note it is a BSI creation, based on the Microsoft Word "properties"
Are there any "Britishisms?"
("our" endings instead of American "or" - color honor, favor, et cetera)
or
("s" versus "z" (realize/realise, organization/organisation))
British-style crossword - lots of "uncrossed" letters versus American (NY Times has EVERY letter cross - no "orphans")

No British spelling, unless the British misspell "environment." :D

Are you giving me a gold star, or suggesting that I'm as dumb as a starfish? My wife would favor the latter conclusion.
bio_subbu 1st October 2007, 01:00 AM Dear Jim Wynne,
Really you can get Gold Star. Yes you are correct, step 12 environment is misspelled. It is a BSI creation. I am herewith attached the complete crossword. Please find out.

I think that 2 across, which you have as "principle" should be "framework." Both words fit, but the latter makes more sense, imo.
Roland Cooke 1st October 2007, 12:45 PM No British spelling, unless the British misspell "environment." :D
Our national educational standards are indeed slipping, but not yet that far. :D

As I mentioned earlier, your crossword is having many grey shaded areas and less of areas which require input.
You could branch out the crossword as per my attachment - refer to the added terms in blue.
Another suggestion is try to use most of the ISO 13485 words and with that intent I added the term "device" .
