if no third party certification how can vendor be approved.

Any ideas on how I can achieve approving a vendor that provides critical parts be approved without a third party certification?

Thanks

Tim

Tim - it's easy and everyone does it all the time!

Look, there was a life 'before ISO' and there were (are) good suppliers out there. Your organization can approve suppliers (indeed should) through a number of different routes. Sample approval, past performance, recommendation, audit are just a few that come to mind. Each one has risks attached and your organization will have to do something to 'control' the supplier until they demonstrate control.

It's a bit like how you deal with your local supermarket and its supplies.
