Friends,
I found this article (http://health.msn.com/health-topics/addiction/articlepage.aspx?cp-documentid=100182332&Gt1=10710) on MSN.Com (health).
Interesting article including the rankings.
And....serious food for thought.

I don't think you can combine the transportation data with drinks per sitting and alcoholic liver disease.
Two of the least dangerous (New York City, Jersey City) have mass transit systems that allows people to get plastered and never get near a car.
I've taken advantage of this.

Maybe it's because all the hard drinkers from Buffalo moved to Charlotte.
There's so many western NYers there that the Anchor Bar is opening a franchise.
Ya'd think with the Sabers' competition in the Northeast Div people in Buffalo would be drinking more. :notme:

Apart from all moving to Charlotte, the Buffalo good #'s are probably sku'd because all the 19 & 20 year olds are getting arrested for DUI in Fort Erie, ON ;)

Sorry Scott, I saw the location and immediately thought devils. If you ever make it to Buffalo I'll owe you a few drinks. (doing our part to raise the drunkedness numbers)

One way to avoid being rated in such a survey of urban drunkenness - live out in the middle of nowhere like me!
Here in Lake County, Florida, the quotient of drunkenness would probably compare impressively with some of the cities at the top of the list, but the dangerousness factor wouldn't be as high because most drunks here in Lake County tend to pass out in front of their trailers.
Oops, mosquitoes are biting, time to go get another beer...
