View Full Version : Seasons greetings! 2007
Tupham 20th December 2007, 07:26 PM Hi, Covers.
I haven't been around a lot for the past 6 months - just browsed a few times but haven't posted much. I lost my son (36 years young) in September to cancer, so 2007 has been the worst year of my life. I'm really looking forward to 2008 and watching/helping my first grandchild, born on July 23, blossom and grow.
My thanks to everyone who responded to my posts early in the year and to those who always so generously give of their advice and articles. Also, the forum has sometimes saved my sanity just by being here and providing me with a distraction.
Wishing everyone a blessed Christmas and peaceful and prosperous 2008.

Trish, my best wishes to a fellow aussie Cover, I really hope your 2008 brings you peace, joy and happiness. Having a youngster around helps keep us all young at heart and reminds us of all the beauty of the world. I hope you relish in seeing things a new through their eyes.
I look forward to some communication via the forum in 2008.

Trish,
This time of year is a milestone for us all. We joyously build memories with loved ones who are here with us, and fondly remember those who are not.
I cannot pretend to understand your pain, but I am glad that the Cove has helped you through some of it. I know that it has helped me at times, too.
Please, be well, and give your grandchild a big hug.

Wishing everyone a blessed Christmas and peaceful and prosperous 2008.Thanks for a thoughtful greeting. You have my sympathy and prayers. As a member of a generation which continuously undergoes "transitions" of peers, elders, and, mind-numbingly, those younger than us, I can offer only the solace you have already found: there are always new ones who join us on the journey.

Please accept my apologies for not posting this "thank you" earlier. I haven't been on the forum until this week.
AndyN 26th February 2008, 08:30 PM Strewth, Trish - it's good to have you back.
I'm not sure how I missed your end of year post, but in catching up, I hope that you'll be able to go forward with the enjoyment of your son's life experienced and a grandchild's to be experienced!
Cheers,
