Hi,

I am doing the process flow diagram. Do i need to put symbols into every steps of process in the diagram?
Can anyone provide me the info for the symbols.

Thank youFor what it is worth, the FDA does not always put "symbols" into a flow chart for HACCP [Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point] Here is sample flow chart from their website describing HACCP: http://www.cfsan.fda.gov/~dms/fcannex5.html (http://www.cfsan.fda.gov/%7Edms/fcannex5.html)

MY FDA experience is primarily with medical devices, not food, but it seems from looking at the web site cited above FDA is mostly concerned with clarity and effectiveness of the process, not the beauty of the chart!

Added in edit: In the chart shown, FDA uses the abbreviation "CCP" instead of a symbol for "critical control point" - the point at which loss of control can adversely affect the safety of the food product for consumer use.

you only need pu symbol "CCP" in the flow chart
