Citroen 2CV 1939 (http://www.autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/200801180430/FREE/192020048)
Instead of a Tata Nano, how about bringing back the 2CV? (not sure if it ever was seen on the roads in the USA)
Who needs a starter motor? One wiper, one head light.

For Around Town Driving... The Bonneville can stay in the garage for grocery trips.
Actually, I really would like a car that looks like that to freak out the neighbors...

Instead of a Tata Nano, how about bringing back the 2CV?A friend of mine had one for a couple of years (A later model than the one in the picture). Not exactly Speedy Gonzales, but it got you to your destination. She loved that car.
The thought of having an accident riding one of those makes me shudder though, and trying to overtake anything faster than a bicycle would have been a lousy idea.

I don't believe I've ever seen or heard the phrase "superb French design" before.

To me, the 2CV otherwise also known as 'ugly duckling' deserves to be in the top ten of the ugliest car ever produced. But if you consider that it was a product of the late nineteen thirties, it is actually ahead of its time.
One of my favorite is the 'DS' (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citro%C3%ABn_DS). It's design was also ahead of its time and like most Citroen Cars, 'controversial'. You either love it or hate it. Like the 2CV, the DS also found its place among the top ten ugly cars in some of the many surveys.
Get into a Citroen - however ugly it may be, sit on it and you will understand why some people are just crazy over this brand.

Thank you Harry!
Before we moved to the USA, we had a Citroën GS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citro%C3%ABn_GS), perhaps one of the finest and most comfortable smaller cars I've ever owned.
Give Citroën credit for their technological advanced automobile designs.
