To all, :bigwave:
I’m in charge of our Document Control Center. We are having some problem in controlling the equipment manuals. Our Engineering Department is the department who used all manuals. :mg: Is there a requirement in the standard that safekeeping of manuals (e.g. Equipment, Handler, Tester, Computer Manuals) should be safekeep by document control section? If no, what could be the justification that I should do to change the current system? Please advise.
How am I going to document this change in our system? Pleaser advise.
TIA. :thanks:
Best regards,
RaffY

Hi raffy,

You will find lot of good information on this subject in this existing discussion thread: Are machine and equipment manuals controlled documents? (http://elsmar.com/Forums/showthread.php?t=10334)

We number all these manuals and control like a "library" - manuals are very informative when you have any equipment failure.

Hi Ajit,
We already numbered all equipment manual so that we may be able to tracked down what particular manuals are borrowed.
Thank you very much.
Best regards,
