I am trying to get an idea of the number of CAPAS generated versus the number of people in an organization. Would you all mind sharing me the number of CAPAS that were generated in your company, the number of employees. and the type of industry (i.e automotive, medical device etc). Please exclude CAPAS generated by audits.

Hello Statman I don’t believe there is any link between the number ofCAPA and the number of employees. Corrective / preventive actions are raised for process non conformances and not against individuals. All CAPA are assigned owners but if the process is “broken” one CAPA is issued regardless of the number of people working on the process. As CAPA are one of the main sources of CI in any organization I like to see all processes having a CAPA so that we don’t rest on our laurels and all improvement efforts are recorded and structured
