We are looking to purchase an artifact for the purpose of checking both a portable articulating arm CMM and a laser tracker.

We are interested if anyone has any experience with any of the following:

The tetronom from a company called Metronom AG in Germany.

The Giant Ball Bar from Bal-tec in California.

Both pieces of equipment look like they can be used for both of our measuring devices.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I don't have the knowledge you are asking, but suspect someone here does and can provide an answer.

Hello,

I read your request here and I can help you.
As the manager of the Metronom AG here in Germany I can provide a Tetronom and also a ballbar put together from tetronom single-bars.
To veryfy an arm or even a laser tracker I recomend a Tetronom at least with 900mm (you can get tetronom between 100 up to 3000mm with 38,1" steel speres).
If you need closer informations or a quotation don`t hesitate to contact me.

Best regards from Germany

Through another post I came across a company called INORA Technologies who provides something similar to the tetronom call the INORAsrs. This system seems to also be capable of verifying your CMM and tracker.

Good luck!
