Hi,

This is how I approach the Elsmar Cove:

1) I have a quality issue or question (sometimes not even a quality related issue)

2) I go to the cove and use the search function (first blue bar, 7th command) and type in what I am looking for (such as "process based auditing")

3) The cove will return with a list of threads that are related to your search question.

4) I read the headline of the thread to see if it has something to do with my question. If it does, the read the contents of the thread.

5) If my question is not answered, I might do another search.

6) If I can not find an answer, I will start a thread with my question. I am careful with how many questions I answer. Usually my questions have been asked before.

7) Daily (when I can) or more often (what I woud like), I check on anything new on the cover.

8) I check out the "since last visit" threads (blue bar, 6th command) to see if there are discussions I want to contribute to or discussion that have my interested and want to know more about.

9) I thank contributors for their contributions when appropriate.

10) I share the good word about the cove with other professionals.

11) I make a small donation annually to the cove to assist keeping it up and running.
