My company is already ISO9000/2000 and now we're talking TL9000 and AS9100 for the different business we're going after. I have lots of experience with AS9100 and thats no problem....but TL? I have no experience. UL is our auditors and I'm wondering if I just change some of our existing system do we really need to be both ISO, AS, and TL?? What are the benefits of having the seperate certificates? I just see it as being expensive....thoughts?

Hello again fletch,

As in all cases the question of registering to (yet another) standard is answered by needs, wants and value.

Would these new customers bring enough sales with that group to justify the new cert?

You can use a quality cost calculator to present figures to management, so the decision is based on fact and reason. Use the Search function in the toolbar; there are a couple of threads with these spreadsheet calculators attached in them.
