Dear friends,
I want a mark that says UL and CSA on my product.
Does this mean I have to go through BOTH UL and CSA?
I know that UL has a thing called cUL, which means it complies with Canada.
And CSA has a thing called cCSAus, which means it complies with US.
But with a cCSAus, can I get a UL mark on my product? or do i still have to go through UL?
Thanks.

The answer is likely NO because UL and CSA had this arrangement known as UL-CSA International MOU (http://www.ul.com/media/newsrel/nr042106.html)
Discuss with UL(Australia). Not sure if CSA is represented in Australia.
NORTHBROOK, Ill., - April 21, 2006 - Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) and CSA International have implemented the full operational expansion of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that allows manufacturers of electrical products to obtain both UL and CSA International certification marks for their products on the basis of a single test program carried out by either organization. The MOU is intended to provide another certification option for those manufacturers who need both CSA International and UL Marks on products sold in the North American market.
This expansion of the MOU now aligns the operational (working) scope with the signed scope of the MOU, initiated between the two certification organizations in November 2003, resulting in a scope that includes all electrical product categories and standards for which UL and CSA International are accredited by both the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Standards Council of Canada (SCC).........

Thanks for that info.
From what I understand from reading the article, a single test report can be used to obtain both marks. But it would still require me to apply to the other party to obtain the mark.
Thanks again!

Certainly you need to have application forms for both parties because you want both the Mark - and you need to pay for both of these. However, one party may be authorized (especially overseas) to receive/accept forms for the other and that's why I suggest you talk to and find out from one of them.
