I posted a response a few minutes ago to the new thread in the ISO 9001:2000 forum about Preventive Actions. The thread heading shows that it was transferred from another forum. It doesn't show up there. When moving away from the post it showed up at the tail end of a longer thread with the last post back in November of 07.

How can I get it to the right thread?

There should have been a Redirect link in the ISO901 forum if it was moved. It's a 'best guess' thing, but since the thread was about Preventive Actions, it was apparently moved to the Preventive Actions forum. I may have moved it. I don't remember for sure, but I do try to categorize threads so it could have been me.

So can you move my post to the thread I intended it? Or should I copy it and post it there myself? I'm still new here and I'm not sure of what is expected.

The post you made was a 'Quote' of a post by Stijloor on page 5 (http://elsmar.com/Forums/showthread.php?p=208418#post208418) in that thread, so you sorta have me confused as to why you want your post moved to a different thread.

The thread heading shows that it was transferred from another forum. It doesn't show up there. This may be because the thread was moved from one forum to another. When a thread is moved, it is typically given a 3 day 'Redirect Link' in the forum it was moved from. Redirect links are typically 'Expiring' Redirects so after 3 days the Redirect Marker is deleted. The 3 days is so people know where it was moved from. We make *most* of them expiring to keep from a lot of duplications and to keep the confusion level as low as possible. I figure that anyone following a thread that is moved will notice its new location over the 3 days. Technically the url to the thread doesn't change. Only the index location changes.

There is a thread today on finding information in the forums. This is one reason we move some threads from time to time. Of course, some threads could be placed in several categories, so sometimes we make a 'judgment' decision. In this case if the thread was originally in the ISO 9001 forum, it was moved to the Preventive Action forum because it is a thread about Preventive Action. Preventive Action is applicable to several standards, but it's the same thing in each for all intents and purposes.

By categorizing topics like this we hope to make information easier to find in a "By Topic" sense.

By the way - I checked the thread history and it was not moved. It was originated in the forum it is in. It was never in the ISO 9001 forum.
