Friends, can anyone help by provide a layout inspection format for our autoparts manufactuing unit. Presently, we are using one format that includes only the part no & dimsensional details. I feel this alone is not sufficient and to include Drg.rev level, batch No. traceability, inspected by, etc. This apart, format should have some easy system of carrying the previous layout record also for continuous tracking and so on for future. In my opinion, initial observation sheet can be used for recording subsequent observations till the product life. But anyway, I need some help to improve our system.

Sounds to me like you know what you're talking about ... I would certainly expect that type of info to be included. Take the current format and modify it to include the things you believe need to be included.
