Friends,
After a job opportunity has been posted, Moderators close the thread and conclude their posts with:
"We would appreciate knowing whether a Cove reader was successful in landing the job."
Is there information available about our Fellow Covers landing jobs?
Because more and more employment opportunity posts show up here at The Cove Forums, I was curious how this has worked.
Thanks.
Stijloor.

That is why we place that statement.
I have not be aware of any responses to this question. Maybe some day the person posting will provide that information.

Yes, indeed. I'm one of those folks who've benefitted.
I've been successful in many ways on the job front, through using the Cove to find/respond to job opportunities.
Firstly, with my current position as Regional Sales Manager (East Coast) for NQA-USA (part of the NTS organization) which was posted here and, with consulting opportunities (in a broad sense) when I was a consultant.

Sadly, few of the recruiters, themselves, have volunteered such information. Only rarely do they even notify us when the opening is filled by anyone, Cove member or not. Almost always, one of the administrators or moderators has an email exchange with the recruiter before deleting the thread as "stale." In those exchanges, we have not learned whether the position was filled by a Cove member.
In fact, AndyN, himself, notified us, not the recruiter. To my recollection, no other Cover has notified us directly that he got the new position through an ad here in the Cove.
In regard to responses, some of the ads are VERY attractive to a large number of people and they do get "action." Others are severely self-limiting and do not receive many responses. That pretty much sums up the state of ALL employment ads everywhere. We can provide templates for recruiters and employers which our experience has shown generate good solid candidate leads, but we can't force a recruiter to follow the template. It's a topic (ineffective recruiting ads) we discuss at length in the thread Tips to get past the "gatekeeper" when job hunting (http://elsmar.com/Forums/showthread.php?t=9325)

Yes, but it was just a sales job (http://elsmar.com/Forums/showthread.php?p=242471#post242471) so it doesn't really count. :notme::tg:

I have copied all the posts in this thread to one in the Occupation Discussions Forum entitled Does anybody get a job from listings in the Cove? (http://elsmar.com/Forums/showthread.php?t=26704) which WILL be open to general comment without moderator release. I am closing this thread, but leaving the link to the new thread.
