View Full Version : Uncertainty Budget - Gage Blocks Daniel Walker 7th April 2008, 10:44 AM Does anyone have a sample gage block uncertainty budget sheet that you would be willing to share? harry 26th May 2008, 01:23 PM This is a bump! Appreciate if anybody can help out. Jennifer Kirley 26th May 2008, 01:36 PM I found a spreadsheet (inms-ienm.nrc-cnrc.gc.ca/clas/spreadsheets/uncertainty_budget_template.xls) from the National Research Council of Canada. Hershal 29th May 2008, 11:04 PM The sheet itself is good, but it is for calibration of a 0-1" (25mm) micrometer, using Grade 2 gage blocks.....do you need to develop the budget for gage blocks themselves, or for the items you may use them to calibrate? I am looking for an example of an uncertainty budget for gage blocks themselves. I need to identify the uncertainty components and the distribution method for each. The micrometer sheet is great, too. I am expanding our lab to include dimensional calibrations and any example of pins, plugs, indicators, gage blocks, mics, calipers, etc. would be extremely helpful. In fact the entire publication has some good examples in it in regard to uncertainty calculations. stefanhg 5th June 2008, 06:32 AM Hi, 1. Download QMSYS Uncertainity Workshop - is free for 14 days. 2. Use example "EA4-S4-Calibration of a gauge block of nominal length 50 mm.gmf" for GUM-Method or 3. Use example "EA4-S4-MC-Calibration of a gauge block of nominal length 50 mm.gmf" for Monte-Carlo Method (recommended). merrick65 12th June 2008, 11:33 AM http://www.metrodata.de/examples/s04.html Example of a 50mm gage block from EAL-R2-S1 |
