Hello, I am wanting to get my areospace company AS9100 certified. I am a little confused about one thing. Do I need to get ISO 9001:2000 certified first and then get the AS9100 certification? Or is the ISO certification implemented in with the AS9100 Certification?

Also, I have most of the forms and manuals needed for the AS9100 Certification process. Does anyone know where I can get a complete list of all the forms and manuals needed so that I can check to see if I have all of the nessacary forms and manuals?

Thank you,
Brittani

Brittani,

If you achieved the AS9100 you will also achieve ISO9001 registration. The standard required certain records, and documentation. See AS9100 paragraphs that reference 4.2.4 (Records), and ones that say procedures required. But, please don't limit yourself to the minimum of the procedures, if there are critical processes that must be control.

Use the "search" function and scroll down to the bottom of the posts and there you will see other discussions.

So then everything is included in the AS9100 certification and I do not need to get ISO certified before I the AS9100 certification? I am new at this and am trying to learn everything from the ground up so please bear with me. :)
