during gauge design and manufacture what are the points that must be considered? What ae VG points?

The "VG" almost looks like it could be an assigned variable from a calculus-based differential equation for gages (i.e., a vector component). Am I on the right track? I believe I may know what you need, but I'll have to research it further for you. I remember vaguely learning this in school.
