Dear Experts,
Kindly, what is the difference between a single queue with multiple servers and an informal queue (take a number system) with multiple servers?
Can we consider both of them under the M/M/c model?
Many thanks in advance

What are you trying to measure? Are you wondering if they are identical models?

Dear Bradm,
I am trying to measure the average arrival rate λ, and the mean service rate mu.
Yes I ma wondering if they are identical models.
Thanks

Would both have the same arrival rate? Would they both resemble the Poisson distribution?

I am thinking the take a number might be constant. Is it, or are there periods of inactivity where it would resemble Poisson?

Assuming arrival on both represents Poisson, I would think they could be processed the same. Are you using a software package for this?

Note: I am by no means an expert with Queues. Just thought I would help out as best I could.
