If you have download reference materials such as a Mechanics Handbook, IPC-610, or ASME Y14.2 into your QMS document world (leagally of course),:notme: do they need to be revisioned controlled or on some master document list? What about periodical's (Quality Progress, Production Machining, EDI, yada, yada..)

Thanks in advance.

First of all, how are the documents used? Do they fit into 4.2.1 a-d? If so, they have to be controlled. Assuming they are used in a manner that would require control. What does 4.2.3 f) state? These are clearly documents of external origin, so you need to ensure the requirements of 4.2.3 f) are met. As far as a master list goes, where is a master list mandated? Don’t make this any more complex than necessary.
