hi guys,

good day to all,

we have a customer that is requiring us to submit certain documents:
1. Supply Specification
2. Specification Details
3. Packing Specs
4. OGI Specs
5. QC Flow

I know the other documents but the first one Supply Specification i'm not familiar with, can anyone give me an idea about this document. I haven't ask our customer about this but i'm going to, just want to have your side on this.

thanks very much :thanx: :)

Hello KidPaddy,

When in doubt, ask the customer. We can provide you with our interpretations, but without knowing exactly what your customer is looking for, all we can do is guess.

I will guess...but I may be wrong. "Supply specification" may be all the requirements associated with what you will (or propose to) provide to your customer. But again, I may be wrong.

Stijloor.

thanks very much :thanx: :)Is this YOUR company design? or your customer's design? If your design, the situation could merely be poor English choice and the intent was for the "Supplier" to supply its own specifications for the product. This is a frequent request of suppliers of off-the-shelf engineered products like fasteners, retaining rings, etc. which are intended to mate with other products in a subsequent assembly.

I have absolutely no idea what OGI Specs refers to - none of the acronyms at http://www.acronymfinder.com/ or http://www.acronymattic.com/results.aspx?q=OGI
seem to fit.

Stijloor is right -when in doubt, ask the guy who has to be pleased with the result. You might even ask for some draft samples of the format they prefer.
