Good day.

Has anyone worked with a tolerance chart in machining process ?
If did it , can explain this technique ?

Thanks

What are you specifically looking for.

For basic tolerance charting we took the print tolerances and put them in a chart, (plus area to write the measurements) and followed it.

In some cases were the "measurement" we wanted was not on the print we did "stack ups". The "stack ups" were simply taking the measurements that made up the total that we wanted and then added up the tolerances of all of them.

Personally on the Quality side I hated it. If anything I would have preferred to simply use the largest tolerance of the bunch.

As far as concrete rules behind what you can do with it I am not sure.

Again what "info" are you specifically looking for?
