View Full Version : Are more visitors posting around the clock during the week?
Marc 8th July 2008, 06:45 AM More visitors posting? It almost seems this place reaches a point where some 'days' people post all night and all day! Or am I imagining an increase?
I think the "Registered Visitors who have posted in the forum in the last 24 hours (Rolling) - Total: 93" number on the forum home page will be interesting to watch.
BradM 8th July 2008, 07:20 AM Marc, have you looked around lately to find quality-related discussion boards that were worth anything?;)
It does seem like there are a lot of people dropping by. The questions seems to be getting more varied in nature across different industries.
Bifften 8th July 2008, 07:46 AM I'm browising here most working days now (UK Time) as its about the only forum that isn't blocked by the companies Websense :notme:
There is also some very useful information on here relevant to my work. :applause:

I am glad that you are finding the information valuable, and I am sure (I look forward to) you will participate with your knowledge and or questions that you may have.

Which is a definite plus to the Cove and its members.
Marc 8th July 2008, 10:42 AM I know there's more traffic every month. It just seems like there are more after hours (at least for me being in the Ohio in the US) posts than before.
It is interesting to know that a company is using a filter and that its not filtering this site out.
howste 9th July 2008, 02:04 AM Nope, I never post around the clock... :notme:
Scott Catron 9th July 2008, 03:59 AM Nope, I never post around the clock... :notme:
Me either.
harry 9th July 2008, 04:22 AM Me either.

So what are both of you doing at this hour? (2.19am).
Of late, I noticed that both of you had been very active around this hour and certainly contributing directly to the activities around the clock. :tg: :tg:

Because the Internet traffic is probably not as busy during the early morning hours, maybe.

Maybe the CEO, or someone in that level of the Organization is a member
I know when I was in Georgia, I couldn't access the Cove at Work, because of the security, until I asked the President to allow me unrestricted access to Internet.
Craig H. 9th July 2008, 09:23 AM We have a filter, but I have never had a problem with this site. I have had sites that were linked to here blocked, though.

Actually I posted at 11:00 pm and Scott posted at 1:00 am. I can't answer for Scott, but sometimes I'm just too stupid to go to bed. Plus I was packing for a backpacking trip I'm leaving on this evening.
harry 9th July 2008, 09:58 AM .............. I'm just too stupid to go to bed..........................
Actually it is a sign that you are getting wiser! You are in good company - Marc, Wes, Randy, Stijloor and a few others are regularly around during 'our' day time.
howste 9th July 2008, 10:00 AM Do I have to be this tired to be wiser? :notme:
SteelMaiden 9th July 2008, 10:16 AM I had to get special permission to unblock the Cove. I told them it was a tool we could not afford to be without.

I only posted because howste is also in Utah.
My time to get things done on the computer is after the kids go to bed. That's been later during the summer due to camps* ending late. The vacation bible school they're in this week ends at 8:30 and it's 10 by the time they get settled down and into bed.
*we call them camps but there's no camping involved - they don't pitch a tent or stay overnight - just structured activities for kids at various locations throughout the summer. They usually last 4-5 days for 2-6 hours a day. It's also easier to talk to the 3-yr-old about camps so she understands what's involved - she gets to stay somewhere with other kids and mom or dad will pick her up later.
Sidney Vianna 9th July 2008, 01:19 PM It almost seems this place reaches a point where some 'days' people post all night and all day!I think Marc is sending a subtle message to some of us:http://elsmar.com/png/get_a_life.png
justncredible 9th July 2008, 02:16 PM I am on computers all the time, here at work I will only surf somewhat work related sites. At home I will never look for work related stuff, well almost never. I do however play call of duty 4 and a few other games online all nite, or maybe watch a movie on joox. I might one day buy a TV, or go outside. :D
