Do you have the "Manage Attachments" button as in the attached screen grab?

I also use Firefox and cannot post attachments. Also my smilies don't work nor do the format tools (text, bold, center etc.)
I use IE at home and have no problems.
This is not a new issue though. I have had the Firefox problem for at least two years.

D.Scott 28th July 2008, 02:13 PM Sorry Jim, I left out the answer to your question.
I do not have a manage attachments button.

It has to be a computer specific problem. I'm using Firefox on a PC right now and it works without a problem.
NOTE: You can not attach a file using 'Quick Reply' in a thread. You have to click the 'Go Advanced' button.

Like Marc, I use FF at home and have never had a problem in this regard. FF 1.x used to act wacky now and then if the cache got full, but that hasn't bee a problem in quite some time.

It could well be a computer specific problem. I am using an old laptop here at work with Windows 98. Our IT guys have tried to get it to run IE but it locks up every time. I am sort of stuck in time with this thing :lmao:

BradM 28th July 2008, 05:28 PM This is kind of a basic, no-brainer type response, but make sure your file size does not exceed the maximum allowable size.
zancky 29th July 2008, 09:21 AM thanks to All,
today the "manage attachment" button appeared again.
I don't know what happened but it may be related to some features not working with firefox e.g. "_gat._getTracker("UA-XXXXXXX-1");" gives the message error _gat not defined.
Account information obscured/replaced with X's.

That appears to be the Google Analytics script. On many sites you'll see 'SiteMeter' or such. Google analytics does stats for the site. It's a java script.
I really don't think Firefox has anything to do with it unless you have a problem specific to your computer. I have 2 PCs here and 2 Macs and using Firefox on all of them.
It could also be that you have a Firefox 'Add On' installed which is interfering with the site (such as 'No Script'), or you may have Java script turned off.
harry 29th July 2008, 10:15 AM I am also a long time firefox user - never have such problems!
Atul Khandekar 29th July 2008, 10:42 AM Are your pages loading slow? Google script loads from their server, not from Elsmar site. It is just possible that that script is loading very slowly.
zancky 30th July 2008, 09:26 AM Yes I have some add-ons on firefox but they never interfere with the "buttons"
The "attachments" button is now working properly as all the times before 28th so I supposed there was something in the site that day. I have closed and open firefox from different coputers with same result on 28th. The day after everything was ok in all computers.
sorry for the annoyance.
best regards
Marc 30th July 2008, 09:41 AM When ever something isn't working we want to know. It's not an annoyance. That is why this specific forum is here - To report problems.
Please - Do NOT hesitate to report a problem!
Unfortunately, many times only one one person is experiencing a problem. When I and others cannot reproduce the problem, there is only one thing it *can* be, and that is that person's computer, ISP access or other problem related to that specific person's connection.
