Could you please convert these objectives into "SMART" format in your perception..

Office Services Unit :

" The roll out of the Microsoft Share Point System across all territories to communize the function and method of the unit services"

Project Temperary Furniture Unit :

" The creation of a standard room matrix by designation in conjunction with the consultant architects"

Branding and Identity Unit :

" Re-branding of the dealership and instant access business lines to create a sole sales and rental business"

All these operations are related to Office Management in my company. Throw some light on these please...

I would suggest that you convert them to be measurable first, then simplify them.

Agree with Coury - make the goals measurable and set timelines for accomplishment.

Make 'em SMART?

How about this...........What will tell you that you have accomplished the objectives?

1. All territories have Microsoft Share Point up and functioning effectively. (Anything less and you have not achieved the objective)

2. The created standard room matrix that meets specification. (Anything but this and the objective is not achieved)

3. The rebranded dealership and access lines providing the desired outcome. (Anything less and you missed this one as well)

Now....Are your objectives achievable with the resources you're willing to apply to accomplishment them?

:D he he he… it’s like asking him if their objectives are simple? measurable? achievable? related to their business? and time-bounded?

…hey, that’s smart!?! :mg:

And add the Time measurable, eg:

A - SPS rollout will be complete by the end of the 2009 Financial Year

B - the matrix will be completed and in use by the end of September 08,,, etc

... and add the responsibilities for who is going to do the work and a strategy for achieving them.
