Without intending to sound flippant, can you send them to an external course? If your organization's intention is, however, to have them trained internally, then the person who is providing the training should have enough knowledge to develop material such as checklists and lesson plans.

If you are looking for training material (i.e., course content), try a search first here in the Cove. I am not certain if any one has posted their internal training material before.

What are the requirements for an auditor in your quality management system?

Minimum:

TS 16949 standard
5 core tools (from an auditor perspective)
Customer specific requirements for TS (depends on your customer)
ISO 19011 auditing standard

Please consider getting outside assistance. An outside trainer with quality systems in general, TS and auditing experience will give your internal auditors "to be" hints, tips, ideas that you will not get from a presentation downloaded from the internet or this forum. The outside trainer will also give you ideas to improve your current quality management system. An experienced trainer is worth the investment.

You have to make sure that your auditing program is effective and is value-added. We have too many audit programs in this world that are "check the box" audits and add no value.
