I would like to know that the audits prepared for one audit year can be used for the next audit year as there are no changes in quality manual.
i can not do any changes as the system is same and if any thing to be added how i can do it without doing in the qulity manual, and at present we dont find any need to add any changes in the quality manual. so in such instances can i use the same auidit drafts for next year.
thanks

Your processes may not have changed, but their performance may have improved since last year. That means that you can "ease up" on the audit frequency. That way, there is more time available to audit processes that may need extra audit attention.

Please note that there is a statement in 8.2.2:

An audit programme shall be planned, taking into consideration the status and importance of the processes and areas to be audited, as well as the results of previous audits...

So, let that be your guide as you plan and prepare for a new cycle of internal audits.

Thanks for your reply, but any how we have to finish the no. of audits, we have total 11 audits and we were given a programme of one audit per month, so how can we reduce the frequency of audits, yes process did not changed but the performance may change,i agree with you

In such situations we can add more details in the comments section of auditor, with this situation still can i use the check list what i prepared for the earlier year- for this year?
thanks

Of course they can't! The results of the 'last' audit are only for that audit. You can't know what's happening 'today' and know that the same result will be applicable! The auditor may focus on something different, the sampled activities may not be the same and, apart from anything else, if you're looking to be ISO certified, the CB auditor will see what you've done and make it a major NC!

The audit, as Jan says, is an audit not just of documents but of actual implementation. You must audit something different and certainly not only the manual. Can I ask if you have had auditor training? If you did, and they didn't make such basics clear to you, you should get your money back........

If you didn't get training, you need it, right now......

I am guessing that the 'Original Poster' is asking whether the same audit checklist used last year can be use again for the coming year because there are no changes in the system.

To Viren - is that what you meant?

Yes you can. No need to reinvent the wheel. You can certainly expand on a particular audit point and start "digging deeper" to find out how well (or not so well) ;) the process is working and possibly where some activities within that process are at risk (potential nonconformities/problems).

Be careful not to let your audit checklist drive the internal audit. There may be issues/concerns requiring further investigation that may not be on your checklist. Do a search here at The Cove Forums on "Process Audits" and you'll know what I mean.

yes sir, thats what exactly my question is as the check list is going to be the same and the result may be different according to the performance as i can use the quality manual as a guideline again for this year too and i will add anyother things i find suitable but the major infrastructure for the audit will be the same check list- this is what exactly i wanted to get clear
thanks again
