RE: For those who use complaints / transactions,

Are you aware of any industry targets or benchmarks indicating average levels of complaints / transactions (obviously, these would vary based on the business and types of transactions).

Hi Mark Stevens and welcome to the Cove,

You may want to look at this Board
Benchmarking (http://elsmar.com/Forums/forumdisplay.php?f=123)

I really don't think there are any "industry targets", but I may be wrong. I know we have "customer" requirements, but nothing industry wide.

Hello, Mark.

If I understand your question, I would have to respond no. Many things like that are usually kept secret, and not openly reported. I'm pretty sure McDonalds keep close records on complaints, sorted by different locations, product lines, etc. However, they are certainly not going to make that information public.

Many have different calculations for it, including a percentage of sales, percent of transactions, daily volume, etc.

Does anyone have any benchmark standards for complaints per million for food manufacturing companies?
