No, not really. What may come close is NOTE 2 below 8.5.1.2 Continual improvement opportunities? You need to identify those yourself. Collect performance data, analyze, and respond to opportunities. Look at 8.5.1, 8.5.1.1, 8.5.1.2 and ISO 9004:2000. Stijloor. Peters 17th October 2008, 06:24 AM I can find this therm in ISO 19011, ISO/IEC 17021 and in QSA (Quality System Assessment). I'm not sure it's exactly in english "opportunities to improvement" but it's something like that. Together with nonconformities it's main output of the audit. The new 3rd edition rules issued this month contain this definition: Opportunity for improvement An opportunity for improvement is a situation where the evidence presented indicates a requirement has been effectively implemented, but based on auditor experience and knowledge, additional effectiveness or robustness might be possible with a modified approach.
