View Full Version : Control of Non Conforming Product procedure explaining the process for approval

The standard states:

The organizations documented procedure shall define the responsibility for review and authority for the disposition of nonconforming product and the process for approving personnel making these decisions.

Does anyone have an example of a procedure explaining the process for approving personnel making these decisions? The President and QA Manager have the authority to make the decision. But I can't explain the process that approved them.

It's by title they are approved? is that a legitimite procedure??

Have a look at the Process for Approving Personnel Making Decisions - AS9100 Clause 8.3 (http://elsmar.com/Forums/showthread.php?t=27385) thread.

I think this should help...........
6.2 Human resources
6.2.1 General
Personnel performing work affecting conformity to product requirements shall be competent on the basis of appropriate education, training, skills and experience.

By the way what standard are you making reference to??

I'm making reference to AS9100.

In 6.2.1 we list different job titles and their responsibilites. If I include a "review and authority for disposition of non conforming product" that should cover it, right?
