Hi everybody.

From my European Quality and Safety manager I got the request to look into the ISO 15593. I looked it up on the internet and this is a quality system for manufacturers of food packaging. Does somebody in this forum already have experience with htis system? What are the main differences between HACCP, ISO 22000 and ISO 15593? And it would be great if somebody would have a digital version of this standard.

Thanks a bunch for helping.

Rubberhead,

Goedemiddag vanuit de USA. Welkom op de Cove Forums! :bigwave: :bigwave:

Would this link (https://www.on-norm.at/ecom/preview.dyn;jsessionid=B14E1QZJS1MW0CQCAICCFEQ?PROD_ID=293715&SKU_ID=293715911) help? It's only a few introduction pages.

Please be aware that the standard is actually called: EN 15593:2008.
(Packaging. Management of hygiene in the production of packaging for foodstuffs. Requirements)

Here is a link (http://www2.nen.nl/nen/servlet/dispatcher.Dispatcher?id=BIBLIOGRAFISCHEGEGEVENS&contentID=254542) to the Dutch version.

ISO 15593 is quite different:

ISO 15593:2001
(Environmental tobacco smoke -- Estimation of its contribution to respirable suspended particles -- Determination of particulate matter by ultraviolet absorbance and by fluorescence.)

Seems to me that this standard is only popular in certain European countries, especially Germany. If you understand the language, try searching in the German Yahoo.

It is a European Standard (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=EN+15593%3A2008&btnG=Search), not an ISO document.
