View Full Version : List of PED (Pressure Equipment Directive) Certified Material Suppliers needed

Hey-
I need a list of PED Certified Material Suppliers. Some confusion on this end as far as the interpretation of what compliance/certification actually is. I guess what I need is a supplier that states on their material certificate that they are "...conform to the requirements of section 4.3 of Annex I of the PED..." Has anyone out there heard of this? Our supplier is hesitant to pursue this as they supply material to the Aerospace industry and feel that should satisfy any requirement. I tink that arguement is like apples and oranges. How can I best relay to my supplier that they MUST acquire this certification?

We have a PED certificate, in our case it was a matter of having an ISO certificate and approval of a registrar with offices in the EU, in our case our Registrar has an office in Ireland, making the PED certification an easy thing to do by integrating with our surveillance audits. I am not sure if that helps you or not, but I do know that different products are handled differently within the directive.
