AS9100C will be issued in the not too distant future. How does that affect periodic audits that will be coming up in the Spring? There must be some grace period after Rev C is issued to implement the changes, no? How long after issuance of Rev C does an organization have to implement the changes for the purpose of third-party audits (periodic or recertification)?

Hi Carl,

Please see attached a page of a presentation material I used in my latest AS9100 Rev. C webinar.

You are correct. Once Revision C of AS9100 is released, organizations will have 30 months (maximum) to make the transition. But, before any CB starts performing audits against AS9100 Rev. C, supported by the new AS9101 Rev.D Standard (no longer a checklist), our auditors will have to be trained against a training package that the IAQG has commissioned. As you can see from the attached chart, the earliest any organization will be able to make the transition will be around 6 months after Rev. C is released.
