Is this the same as an intersection point? I haven't seen this on a print in a long
time and am a little iffy on it. Can someone set me straight? Thank you!

Can you give us a little more information? What is the specific callout on the print that includes this reference?

We have a simple metal stamping that has a dimension from the end back to a bend point. It is .431+/-.008" and beneath the .431 it has TSC. The corner it is measure to has a radius in it, so I usually measure to the intersection point unless it is obvious that it goes to the radius. I hope that gives you a picture. Thank you

Jager,

TSC = Theoretical Sharp Corner.

It is actually handy if people call this out when that is how they really measure it. Some folks assume they mean theoretical sharp corner without the callout, and it screws up people's minds because there is no clue to justify it.

It would help when an auxiliary (enlarged) detail is provided to show what the designer wants and how it should be measured.

The TSC is the tangent point of two lines (or surfaces) that form an angle--usually a 90° angle, but not always.

Thank you all. That helps!
