Before this post I have posted 11 times in 4 threads, but I am still shown as having only 2 posts. Also, my posts are not allowed to contain links because the software thinks I have posted less than 5 time. However, when I loooked at my post list, all 11 were shown there.

I'll look at your record.

Note that there are some forums where posts do not 'count'. There have been a number of discussions over the years, but the bottom line is the decision to not count posts in some forums (such as the Coffee Break forum) is based upon wanting post counts to represent 'help' and participation in the 'business' forums, rather than, for example, how many 'jokes' and 'humour' posts someone makes.

If you have less than 5 posts in 'business' focused forums and have a reason to want to post a like link, you can always contact me and I can make the links active.

Usually folks with less than 5 posts in 'business' forums that want to post live links have an alternative agenda, which is why the restriction is in place (a forum spam control mechanism).

Hello, there! :bigwave:

Post count only works in the business-related forum. So, any posts you have in the non-business threads will not count towards your total post count.

As far as the links, if you need help posting a link to a post, let a moderator know, and they will be glad to assist. Sorry for any inconvenience with that.

Hey Marc! Sorry for my post being like yours. You "swooped" in while I was typing mine!

Thanks,

I suspected something like that, but could not locate the information.

I have posted many times on a thread in the coffe-break forum. That thread could well meet the requirements of being in a business forum. Any chance of transferring the thread, or don't you do that on this board?

Oh! Just noticed that my post count has gone up to 12. Thanks.

I can transfer any post/thread. Just use the Report This Post button in the post/thread that you want transferred. It will ask you to input a reason. If it's a post in an existing thread, however, it is best for you to start a new thread in the appropriate forum.
